Who are we?
Una VIDA LINDísima is an association of families and individuals created to support missions linked to Operazione Mato Grosso, as well as other local charitable organizations. Its aim is to contribute to the development of educational, healthcare, and social inclusion initiatives that improve the living conditions of the most disadvantaged communities.
Where are we going?
Una VIDA LINDísima was established as a nonprofit civil association in 2025 as a means of supporting, collaborating with, and sustaining the projects of Operation Mato Grosso, as well as other initiatives in Peru.
Our History
In 2023, a group of expat families living in Lima, together with their children, began gathering with other families and friends at the Padre Hugo School, run by Operation Mato Grosso. Spending time with the Mato Grosso volunteers proved to be an enriching and life-changing experience for both parents and children, leading us to ask ourselves: how can we help more, and do better?
Answering that question keeps us moving forward, as together we discover that we are capable of achieving small yet meaningful things.
Where does our name come from?
Age and illness were no obstacle to Father Hugo’s work. Even when he no longer had the strength to leave his room, he continued to urge others to carry forward the path of service that had taken him from the Alps to the Andes, and finally to Lima. To all who helped, he made only one promise: they would have Una VIDA LINDísima.
